Lisey's Story about the Door to December

I was reading The Door To December by Dean koontz and finally finished it last week! I think it was either on wednesday night or thursday morning, however you look at it, because i finished it at 3am!

Okay, so. It was kinda hard to decide while reading the book whether I liked it or not. I had one friend (Kelly) tell me that she didnt enjoy it very much but hoped that I would...then I had a friend from work (Vanessa) tell me that she loved it! So I was very hopefull for it and I do believe that in the end I enjoyed it very much. I also enjoyed the fact that I try not to buy books new, because they cost quite a bit. Why buy a book for $8 when i can get it for $2 or less? well anywho, this book was a used one that my boyfriends mom got me from a yardsale, and someone who had read it wrote littles notes in it. They were interesting because both myself and the reader before me had some of the same thoughts, or her own thoughts opened a door to me, such as...how can this guy and woman have such a strong connection of love or enjoyment of eachothers happiness when they just met an hour ago? hm. I dont know i'm not that picky of it.
My ending result is though, I did enjoy it.
Here is the plot summary of the book:
"A psychiatrist's daughter was kidnapped by her ex-husband years ago. When the daughter is finally found, the real fight begins. One by one the people who held her captive become mysteriously tortured and killed. Everyone is afraid the young girl will be next.

The mystery unravels as to what happened to the young girl while she was kidnapped. The young girl, Melanie, is unable to speak, but her mother soon learns that the young girl went through extreme torture as her father used her for a rat in his experiments.

Since her mother is a psychiatrist, she takes leave from work to try to help her daughter recover. One by one everyone involved by the experiment is killed, and soon a mysterious power catches up to Melanie and her mother, and then they realize the mysterious monster is Melanie herself. Will Melanie's mother be able to save her from herself and bring her back from the tortures she had to endure while kidnapped?"

I got that from AllReaders.com

So now I'm onto Lisey's Story by Stephen King. I haven't read much by him, but my friend insists I read it so now i've moved onto it. I haven't gotten very far, but I will soon because I'm on Thanksgiving Break now from college.
Here is the Plot Summary:
"Lisey Debusher Landon lost her husband, Scott, two years ago, after a twenty-five-year marriage of the most profound and sometimes frightening intimacy. Scott was an award-winning, bestselling novelist and a very complicated man. Early in their relationship, before they married, Lisey had to learn from him about books and blood and bools. Later, she understood that there was a place Scott went -- a place that both terrified and healed him, that could eat him alive or give him the ideas he needed in order to live. Now it's Lisey's turn to face Scott's demons, Lisey's turn to go to Boo'ya Moon. What begins as a widow's effort to sort through the papers of her celebrated husband becomes a nearly fatal journey into the darkness he inhabited. Perhaps King's most personal and powerful novel, Lisey's Story is about the wellsprings of creativity, the temptations of madness, and the secret language of love"

Allright, and as soon as I'm finished with Lisey's Story, I will be onto Sugar Cookie Murder,ya know, just so that I can get into the holiday spirit........
